![]() editors' letter We don’t like formalities. We’re happy in business suits, but we’re happier in jeans. We think we’d like to make money, but we’re more concerned with happiness and fulfillment. We spend a lot of time on the Internet—almost all day in fact—but we read a combined 20 print magazines a week. We’re the new generation of media consumers, and we’re your editors for min magazine 2007. Nice to meet you.
I like things that involve words—writing, reading, generally socializing—and pictures, and I owe much of my enjoyment for life to my metabolism. My free time (and money) is spent on airplane tickets, foreign-language classes and furniture for my new apartment. I collect stamps in my passport, books and things that can be worn. As a child, I wanted to be a circus ringmaster or an apple picker when I grew up—oh, and a novelist, which hasn’t changed. I still don’t know how to balance a checkbook. I may or may not know the difference between a good thing and too much of it.
Jeremy Greenfield
It’s hard to say because it’s constantly changing. I live in the city that never sleeps, and I try to follow suit. But, generally, I read as much as I can, I work hard on my publications, and I try really, really hard to relax as often as possible. Work and relaxation have a nasty habit of overlapping these days; I’m just glad they haven’t given me a Blackberry yet. Other things I frequently find myself doing are: playing guitar and singing; listening to music; spending time in bars downtown doing research; watching football; and trying really hard to write things that are better than bad.
