The bad-luck-to-good-magazine-people affliction has been overwhelming in 2009, and Nancy Berger Cardone was one of them when the Gourmet vp/publisher (since May 2008) lost her job on October 5 after Condé Nast president/ceo (since January 2004) Chuck Townsend closed the magazine (one of six this year)...
