Jessie Price Promoted to Eating Well Editor-in-Chief

By Steve Cohn

On Sept. 23, Meredith Corp. Women’s Lifestyle Group president (since July 2011) Tom Witschi promoted Eating Well deputy editor of food (since 2008) Jessie Price to editor-in-chief. She succeeds Lisa Gosselin, who left the 750,000-rate-base bimonthly after a seven-year stint.

Witschi knows Price in his having been Eating Well CEO prior to Meredith’s June 2011 purchase, and he calls her "a great asset to our team…where she has developed a tremendous understanding for food journalism and passion for the Eating Well brand. We feel confident that she will be a strong leader for the [Eating Well] content team, bringing fresh insights across the brand’s broad range of platforms."

That Price is a former cook at restaurants in Colorado and California makes her "epicurean endemic."

She remains based in Eating Well‘s Shelbourne, Vt., editorial offices and is working closely with New York-based publisher (since Oct. 2012) Steve Bohlinger.
