Construction's Other Shoe to Drop
As we continue our review of fourth-quarter 2009 ad-page counts for group publishers,the 30% rule appears to be in effect. Throughout last year, analysts, b2b associations and conventional wisdom kept reiterating that the print business was down about a third from the previous year. Hanley Wood was measured by IMS/The Auditor as being down 36% in ad pages across the 24 titles it counted. “Our view of 2010 is mixed,” says Hanley Wood CEO Frank Anton.
