All of the worry that the Rupert Murdoch/News Corp. ownership of Dow Jones & Co. would "dumb down" The Wall Street Journal can easily be countered by the fact that it is to Murdoch's interest that The WSJ maintain its "business newspaper of record" credibility as its platforms expand. Perfect "sage" is Franklin D. Roosevelt, whose "New Deal" will forever be despised by WSJ editorialists. But everybody should pay heed to these famous words from FDR's first inaugural address in 1933:

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
