Bauer Publishing game-plan for the September launch was a women's beauty/fashion/relationships magazine with Cosmopolitan and Glamour as role models. But the better role models for a low-priced newsstand weekly are Bauer's celebrity-driven InTouch and Life & Style Weekly. Not having celebs or service (à la Bauer's First for Women) gave management cold feet, and the project was cancelled July 9 because of "uncertain economic conditions."
