BUSINESS CASUAL
Vogue 'Stars' at the Super BowlFebruary is typically a busy month for Vogue and editor-in-chief (since June 1988) Anna Wintour, with the fashion weeks in New York (starting Feb. 9), Paris and Milan and culminating with the Condé Nast monthly's influence on Hollywood fashion with the Feb. 26 Academy Awards. But Vogue at the Super Bowl...where fashion could be best described by losing New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick's hooded sweatshirt? Absolutely at the NBC-televised Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, where at the halftime show Sunday (Feb. 6), Madonna opened her 12-minute set with Vogue. The logos were omnipresent. Fortunately for the Wintour- and VP-publisher Susan Plagemann-led Vogue brass, the controversial part of the set generated by rapper M.I.A.'s gesture with her middle finger and her language came after Vogue. (Somewhat ironically, this was during the song Give Me All Your Luvin''.) By then, Vogue fans in the East and Midwest could have been watching a 60 Minutes rerun on CBS that featured Morley Safer's 2010 interview with Wintour. Vogue contributing editor André Leon Talley also appeared. Take min's fun quiz and find out how magazine-savvy you are! COMMENTS
