A highlight from last month's Real Simple Holiday Pop-Up Shop at the Citi Pond ice-skating rink in New York's Bryant Park was editor-in-chief (since 2003) Kristin van Ogtrop greeting chef Mario Batali. He was there to celebrate the publication of his new book Molto Batali: Simple Family Meals from My Home to Yours (HarperCollins).

The beneficiary of the Citi-partnered Pop-Up Shop was DonorsChoose.org, which helps needy students and schools.
