Hearst’s The Daily Green Web site honored people, organizations and companies that support the green message at its first annual 2009 Heart of Green Awards held at the Hearst Tower on April 23. Among the awardees were actress Alicia Silverstone, Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos and Friday Night Lights’ star Connie Britton. Awards included Lifetime Achievement Award, The Guardian Award, The Local Hero Award and The Eco-Original Award.
