ASSME Beats Back the Holiday Blues

The ASSME (the American Society of Sh*t-Canned Media Elites) Holiday Fete, hosted Dec. 18 at New York's Ella by Aaron Gell, Neel Shah and others from Radar, started somberly but lightened as revelers enjoyed the open bar and the DJ spun some ’80s tunes. We’re sad to say we saw some familiar—and talented—faces, but were glad to notice new plans being hatched in corners.

And to boost egos, ASSME asked all to donate gently used coats for New York Cares. Although an exact count is yet to be made, ASSME estimates more than 50 were collected, showing that even in tough times, media folks stay classy.
