Spin sure knows how to show a girl a good time. In celebration of music and Major League Baseball, and in partnership with the baseball video game MLB2K8, they hosted an all-star kick-off party at Hiro Ballroom filled with music and muscle. The fact that the typically hyper-cool dance floor at Hiro Ballroom was now filled with guys slamming free Buds and playing Wiis in the corner amused us to no end and we joined in at the risk of getting publicly heckled for not knowing now to work the Wii stick (or controller thingy, whatever it's called).

Later on, Albert Hammond Jr., formerly of The Strokes fame, played a long set with his new band. There to see him were his model girlfriend Agyness Deyn, Gossip Girl co-stars Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester and Rod Stewart's son Sean. At one point during the show we thought a mic stand had falling off the stage into the crowd, but nope, that was just  a super thin (and tan) version of infamous NY publicist Lizzie Grubman. Yes, the stars were out and min was in.
