At the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Party

Maybe it was the occasion itself (Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition party); maybe it was the weather (snow, sleet and all around stiletto-unfriendly precipitation); or maybe it was just the venue (7 World Trade--just a stone's throw from Wall Street) but, of the 500 or so people at last night's soiree, approximately 98.7% of non-genetically gifted attendees were male. Power suits and gawking aside, it was an all around pleasant evening, thanks in part to the ease with which the room could be navigated; after all, only half of those expected actually showed (thank you, weather--we'll trek through snow in heels for open bar any day of the week), making it easy to spot--and even brush arms with!--the lovely ladies in attendance. (see SI Swimsuit Coverage from min)

Honored guests of note included Bar Rafaeli (sans Leonardo DiCaprio, sadly), cover girl Marisa Miller and racecar phenom Danica Patrick (who is super tiny in person--but isn't that always the way?). Thanks to a strategically shared VIP pass, we lucked into photo ops with a number of the models, and we put our self-esteem on the line for the sake of good reporting. Hopefully you'll enjoy the view as much as we did ...

Indy race-car driver Danica Patrick, who put motor sports in SI's Swimsuit issue gave a new definition to gentlemen, start your engines, is pictured (third from the left) with min account manager Anthony DeRico, PR News editor Courtney Barnes, and friend of min.
