Golf Digest Celebrates Its 60th Anniversary Aboard the Intrepid  As min reported (Aug. 23), the venue has significance because one of the GD's three co-founders--Bill Davis--was a naval officer aboard the ship during World War II, and his writing about the experience led to his interest in journalism--and the launch of the magazine in 1950.
