Golf Digest Celebrates Its 60th Anniversary Aboard the IntrepidOn Aug. 25, about 300 friends of Golf Digest toasted the Condé Nast monthly's 60th anniversary aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid, which is now moored on the Hudson River.  As min reported (Aug. 23), the venue has significance because one of the GD's three co-founders--Bill Davis--was a naval officer aboard the ship during World War II, and his writing about the experience led to his interest in journalism--and the launch of the magazine in 1950.
