For this week’s top five list, we at min looked at the top magazine anniversary issues of the summer only (May-Sept.) and picked the top five covers. We found over fifteen anniversary issues to choose from, from large weeklies to smaller, independent bi-monthlies. See below for our top five picks.

1. Vibe

After 15 years, Quincy Jones’ brainchild is still the leading hip-hop culture magazine. The anniversary issue features multiple covers, all of frequent cover boy Jay-Z. Check out photos from their anniversary party in Manhattan last week here.

2. US News & World Report

To help celebrate an amazing 75 years of providing dependable news analysis, the edit staff put together an amazing tribute on Us News' site, complete with archived interviews and a cover montage. Also check out their anniversary video here.

3. Bust

The little feminist magazine that could, Bust has provided clever, empowering, hilarious content for the last 15 years and will for the next 15. Check out photos from their anniversary party (also held last week in Manhattan) here.















4. Autoweek

A diamond in the rough automotive magazine rough, Autoweek is alive and kicking stronger than ever after 50 years. It has managed to hold onto its weekly print status while bridging the divide between a quality print product and a dynamic website, which can be seen here.

5. WIRED

At WIRED’s 15th Anniversary party EIC Chris Anderson said that he, “never thought that he’d see the magazine reach the level it’s at now.” Obviously, the techy mag for cool nerds is still in high demand and will be for years to come.
