Chris Madden Gives Back To Vets Wounded in Iraq

Nice gesture by Chris Madden, who can proudly add "military hospitals" to J.C. Penney (her retail partner for years) as venues for her products. Here, Madden responded to a request from Michigan Blue Water chapter president Carla Brodacki to make conditions for the Iraq/Afghanistan war wounded more bearable by having partner WestPoint Home send hundreds of Chris Madden Plush twin blankets to them. Appropriately, it is called Operation Cozy Comfort, and it complements Madden's Project Katrina to rebuild New Orleans.

Last year, Madden celebrated Chris Madden Inc.'s 30th anniversary, and among her firms many projects (books, tv, etc.) is producing the quarterly Your Good House for Good Housekeeping.

Operation Cozy Comfort has the support of Sen. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.), who calls it an inspriration for "others to do what they can to support our brave men and women in uniform an their families, who have made tremendous sacrifices on our behalf." min is told that although Madden backed Clinton's presidential campaign, everything here is apolitical.
