Paste magazine has had quite the year so far, what with being a National Magazine Award finalist, winning several GAMMA Awards and Plug awards and the recent launch of EIC Josh Jackson's blog. Yet the August issue of Paste is pushing the cool envelope even more. Crossing cultural and geographical borders, Paste has put together an issue of relatively unknown international bands in a special International Issue, which is really just a reflection of how much trust the editors have in their readers...and vice versa.

Several other mags have been warming up their individual voices in preparation to sing the big Olympics song and Paste has cleverly joined in the chorus with their take on the best world music. Relevant yet individual: it's every indendent publication's dream.
