The coverage last week of Fuller ending her nearly five-year stint as American Media Inc. editorial director was replete with her flamboyances and idiosyncrasies that have been her reputation since emigrating from Canada's Flare in 1989 to be editor-in-chief of the teen YM .

That said, there is no "tabloid" in Bonnie Fuller's private life. She is rarely seen on Page 6's "turf" (e.g., Elaine's); rather, she and husband/architect Michael Fuller live quietly in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., with their four children (the two daughters have overcome serious illnesses, which were part of a Judith Newman profile of Fuller in the March 2004 Vanity Fair).
