It was in September 2000 that the first min Day brought the print and digital sides together
and, in the eight years since, the technological advances and change have been
mind-boggling. Enter min Day 2008 tomorrow (April 15) at New York's grand Hyatt, where we
will offer "100-plus digital ideas" to help editors, publishers, circulators, marketers,
and sales people compete and succeed. min vp/group publisher Diane Schwartz and digital
media editor Steve Smith, the program co-chairs, have recruited a highly regarded faculty
(40-plus) that include Hachette Filipacchi media U.S. senior vp/digital media Todd Anderman,
Prevention online editorial director Nicola Bridges, OK! Web development director
Jay Gissen, mediaedge:cia managing partner/director of print George Janson, PC World editor-
in-chief Harry McCracken, Jordan edmiston group managing director Scott Peters, and TV
guide Online editor-in-chief/vp-marketing Christy Tanner. emarketer co-founder/ceo Geoffrey
Ramsey will open with a five-years-and beyond digital forecast, and eSPn executive vp/
content John Skipper will keynote our luncheon on what turned the cable sports network that
launched with very low expectations in 1979 into one of the world's most powerful brands.
min Day luncheon will also salute min's marketing Sweet 16, who include Jennifer Chatham
(mediaVest), Andrew McLean (mediaedge:cia), Beth Fidoten, initiative: media advertising),
Steve Maietta (SLg inc.), Tyler Schaeffer (american express), Chinissa White (Wal-mart,
and Bree Winter (J. Walter Thompson).

As a prelude, today (April 14) at the Grand Hyatt we will announce min's sixth annual
Best of the Web award winners.
