Erin Hobday Promoted to Self Managing Editor
Erin Hobday, who rejoined Self earlier this year as features and projects editor, was elevated to managing editor on Sept. 21 by editor-in-chief (since June 2001) Lucy Danziger. Hobday succeeded Kate Lewis, who is now Condé Nast senior executive director of human resources.
Hobday’s first Self stint was as nutrition and diet editor from 2007-2010 before going to Redbook as health director. At Self, she had significant roles in the annual "Drop 10 Self Challenge" along with the "Jump Start Diet," "Reach Your Goal," and newly started "Self Diet Tapper" mobile program.
Hobday’s expertise extends to both genders as earlier in her career she was health editor at Men’s Health.
