Get recognized for providing your audience with outstanding news, intelligence and industry insight: enter the min's Editorial & Design Awards today! We will be honoring the winners and honorable mentions during an awards ceremony on November, 2011 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. Winners will be profiled in min, min’s b2b and minonline.
min’s Editorial & Design Awards program recognizes excellence in content and design among consumer, business-to-business and specialized information media brands. This annual awards competition sets new benchmarks for storytelling, news reporting and editorial leadership among content providers and will shine a spotlight on the art directors and designers who complete the editorial package.
Awards will be judged by a panel of editors, designers, consultants. Separate awards will be bestowed upon consumer and b2b entrants for each category. Depending on the scope of entries, unique visitors and circulation will be another separating factor when bestowing awards. Design awards will judged on aesthetics and packaging of illustration/art with editorial content. Editorial awards will be judged on factors such as quality of writing, source material, journalistic style, editorial voice and impact of article on and industry and/or readership.
Who Should Enter?
Any consumer and b2b publishing company and/or person or individual magazine title is eligible to enter. Third-party partners serving the industry can also apply.

- Specialized Information Publishers (including newsletter publishers)
Eligibility Requirements:
Any project that took place between August 1, 2010 and August 12, 2011 is eligible. The program may also be on-going.

How to Enter
Sending Your Entry By Mail or Online
General Info/Entering Requirements:
- All entries must have been published, online or in print, between August 1, 2010 and August 12, 2011.
- All entries must be original to the brand entering the Awards program.
- Staff-written and contributed material are acceptable.
- Supporting material, such as reader feedback, testimonials are acceptable.
Enter as many categories as you like, but please tailor your entry to the category you are entering. For each entry, please include the following:
- Category Entered
- Key contact for entry
- Organization submitting entry
- Title of entry (as it would appear on your award)
- Team members (on project) or person who is entering
- For Print Categories, submit 5 copies of the entry, which includes: tear-sheets and a one-paragraph overview of the content submitted, target audience and feedback from readers.
- For Online Categories, submit 5 copies of the entry, which includes: printouts of the articles or sections, urls and a one-paragraph overview of the content submitted, target audience and feedback from readers.
- For Hall of Fame Categories, include the person's career achievements and why they deserve induction in the min Editorial & Design Hall of Fame. Include details on this person's editorial or design achievements and body of work over his or her career.
- For Freelance Categories, submit 5 copies of the entry, which includes: printouts of the articles or sections, urls and a one-paragraph overview of the content submitted, target audience and feedback from readers. copies of the article or series to be judged
Deadlines/Entry Fees
Deadline: August 12, 2011 (postmarked)
Late Deadline: August 26, 2011 (postmarked)
All entries must be postmarked by August 20, 2011
Entries postmarked between August 13 and August 26, 2011, please add a $175 late fee per entry. Award winners (including Honorable Mentions) will be notified in mid-September and honored November 2011, during an awards ceremony at the Grand Hyatt in NYC.
Entry Fees:
The price of each primary entry is $300. If you submit the same entry into multiple categories, the additional fee is $175 per category. There is a late entry surcharge of $175 per entry. Payment in full must accompany the entry. Entry fees are not refundable.
Multiple Entries:
Multiple entries are accepted and encouraged. A single entry can be entered into more than one category. Please follow the "How to Enter" instructions for each category you will be entering.

How are the entries judged?
Our blue-chip panel of judges includes print media buyers, corporate marketers, publishing and marketing consultants and the staff of min, minonline.com, and min's b2b.
Who is eligible to win an award?
Any consumer and b2b publishing company and/or person or individual magazine title is eligible to enter.
Where and when will the reception be held?
The winners and honorable mentions will be celebrated at the Editorial & Design Awards event on November 7 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
How do I increase my chances of winning an award?
Provide succinct summary/synopsis, testimonials and other supporting materials.
When will I be notified about the status of my entry?
You will be contacted by the min staff regarding the status of your entry only if you are named a finalist in the awards program. Finalists are notified 30-60 days in advance of min Awards Event on November 7, 2011 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
Is this awards program affiliated with any industry organizations?
The min Editorial Awards is an independent competition unaffiliated with any other organization. Your entries are held in strict confidence by the judges and min.
