EatingWell Expands Editorial Team

EatingWell Media Group, which produces the bi-monthly EatingWell magazine and EatingWell.com site is coming off of a winning May by announcing several new key appointments. The company won three James Beard awards this month, and now plans to expand its creative team. The former creative director of the Los Angeles Times Magazine, Nan Oshin will take on the newly created position of creative director for EatingWell Media Group. Oshin has worked in design for GQ, Architectural Digest and C magazines. She will report to editorial director Lisa Gosselin. Oshin will be tasked first and foremost with redesigning both the magazine and Web site for 2012 relaunches.

Also new to the firm, Matthew Thompson, formerly of Radar, will become associate editor. He has been teaching creative writing at the University of New Hampshire. EatingWell is located in Charlotte, VT. The magazine boasts a print reach of 1.6 million readers and an online audience of 2 million unique visitors.

EatingWell recently won Beard awards for a healthy eating cookbook and two journalism awards for feature stories.
