Diane Newman Resigns from American Media

Diane Newman has left her position as American Media Inc. vp/group publishing director. She tells min that her decision was "for personal reasons. All is good with me."

This was Newman’s second stint with the David Pecker-led AMI, which she rejoined in March 2010. Her responsibilities encompassed the women’s and men’s magazines (Shape/Pregnancy/Natural Health/Men’s Fitness/Playboy) and all AMI corporate sales. Plus, they extended to digital

During her 2003-2007 stay at AMI, Newman rose from Shape publisher to group publisher. She then moved to Meredith National Media Group’s Parents Network, where in 2007 she produced record ad-pages/revenues for the now-86-year-old flagship Parents.

Newman was a 1990s publisher of Fitness, and she was inducted into min‘s Sales Executive Hall of Fame in June 2010.
