Throughout his years at RBI, Jeff helped transform the way b2b journalism was done across every business segment. Writers started talking with, not just at, readers. His infamous edicts at RBI pressed the brands to interact, to write and post in real time, and aggregate the best information for readers, regardless of the source. His vision for digital media always looked beyond the technology platform and distribution method. Jeff has always understood that different audiences used media differently, and so the means of content production—even the way brands built reputations online—had to change accordingly. His interactive infrastructure at RBI helped bring new efficiencies and shared learnings to all corners of the companies and across all the former fiefdoms that typified an old-world publishing model.
