Allure’s Digital Edition Adds "Shopping from the Page"

The Sept. 2013 digital edition of Allure features an overlay from partner ShopAdvisor that adds discovery, saving, reminders and shopping functions at the point a product is mentioned. The pop-up can appear in editorial features or advertising and uncover related items, the latest pricing, as well as tools the let the user digitally "dog-ear" an item for later reference.

ShopAdvisor, which works with several magazine publishers on similar digital-edition enhancements, also offers reminder services that alert a reader when a forthcoming item becomes available.

A total of 64 pages in the digital Allure are enhanced with the features. Advertisers showcasing their assets in the September issue include bareMinerals, CoverGirl, Shiseido and SK-II. ShopAdvisor helps publishers monetize their digital editions with revenue shares on ad enhancements as well as product sales.

Cosmopolitan, AllYou and Golf magazines have already enhanced their digital editions with ShopAdvisor.
